Photos from Bound for Glory IV

Unlike the last TNA show I attended, this time around I brought some extra batteries for my camera.  When it was all said and done, I ended up taking 514 photos during the three hour Bound for Glory event.  Of course, not all of them turned out, but many of them did.  I sorted through them and picked out the best ones and posted about 70 of them to this site. Take a few moments to take a look at what I was able to capture.

Live Notes from Bound for Glory IV

- I guess there was a dark match, but I missed it due to the lines at the merchandise stand.  Another fan told me that Christy Hemme was involved in the match, so I wasn’t too worried about seeing it.

- Prior to the event, Jeremy Borash announced that Curtis Granderson, a Chicago native that is currently playing centerfield for the Detroit Tigers, was sitting in the front row across from the cameras.  At least it wasn’t AJ Pierzynski.

A few thoughts before I head out…

It is 3:32 AM and a few thoughts came to my mind as I was getting ready to travel 610 miles to get to the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL.

- During the Bound for Glory IV promo video on tnawestling.com, Jeff Jarrett promised that there was going to be a huge surprise at the pay-per-view.  Usually, I am able to at least have some sort of idea – or at least an educated guess – however, this time I am at a complete loss.  All I can do is hope that it is a decent surprise.

- The Smashing Pumpkins, who’s song “Tarantula” is the Bound for Glory theme song, are from Chicago.  Seeing that their front man, Billy Corgan, is a huge wrestling fan, I am wondering if he will be there in attendance at TNA’s biggest pay-per-view of the year.

- Speaking of fans of professional wrestling, I wonder what AJ Pierzynski is doing these days.  As a matter of fact, the only gold the Chicago area will be seeing is that of the four TNA championships as both the White Sox and the Cubs were eliminated quickly from the MLB Playoffs.  Yes, I am still fickle over the fact that the White Sox won a 1-game playoff against the Minnesota Twins to advance to the playoffs.

- To pass the time of the 10-hour drive, I am bringing a selection of DVD’s to pass the time.  A few of the titles are: TNA: Best of the X Division Vol. 1 and 2, TNA: Best of Bloodiest Brawls, Vol. 1 and Scars & Stitches, TNA: Best of 2007, PWA Guerrilla: Sells Out, and The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment.

- To avoid the same problem I had at the TNA house show in Spencer, IA, I am bringing three back up batteries for my camera.  That may be a little over kill, but I want to play it safe this time.
