We are treated to the final moments of the Kurt Angle/Abyss cage match as we are given a preview of tonight’s show, which will feature comments from Sting and even Vince Russo.
Mick Foley is backstage being tended to after bloodying himself during his chat with Ric Flair. We are treated to footage of his talk with Flair on Impact as Foley talks about how he thought he wasn’t pulling his weight, but he felt good tonight. He says that they will both do what they need to do on October 7th and will give people a match that people will remember.
The docu-cam is with Vince Russo who says he was put into a position where he has to work with Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan. Russo talks about their history and how they have worked together as professionals, but he doesn’t think they have let their past issues go. Russo says money and power drive Hogan and Bischoff and says that they haven’t changed since their days in WCW.
Sting is with the docu-cam and says that he hasn’t changed at all since coming back in January. Sting continues by saying that he is ready to get answers and says his actions will speak for himself. Kevin Nash talks about how they are doing things that they feel are right as the Pope says they are like the three wise men as they are trying to enlighten the locker room and the fans.
In a pre-match interview, Kurt Angle talks about wanting to keep on proving himself and feels that he can continue to carry TNA into the new year. After the match, he is seen being cleaned up as he says he doesn’t know what Mr. Anderson’s intentions were when he came out during his match. Mr. Anderson, on the other hand, talks about how Angle is a machine and says he would rather beat a healthy Angle than a beat up one.
Anderson and Angle give their thoughts on their upcoming three-way match at Bound for Glory for the TNA World Championship. Angle goes over his recent injuries and hopes that it doesn’t effect him too much as Mr. Anderson says he has been waiting 11 years to get to this point.
The focus is put on to the ongoing feud between Fortune and EV2. Robert Roode talks about how EV2 has no business being in TNA and calls their style of wrestling disgusting. James Storm promises that Fortune will end it all at Bound for Glory. AJ Styles says he enjoyed beating on Brian Kendrick, while Kendrick thinks there will always be another Impact and he plans on being there each and every Thursday.
A recap of what went down tonight with the Knockouts Division is aired. It is mentioned that Miss Tessmacher has been given full control of the division and she says that she a lot of changes in store for the them. Lacey Von Erich says that they will all do what it takes to make sure Miss Tessmacher is in charge of them and wonders if a four-way match will cause problems between Angelina Love and Velvet Sky.
Brian Kendrick is this week’s Impact Player of the Week. Kendrick says he is a product of a Mensa mom and a psychopathic father and talks about discovering pro wrestling at the age of 10. Kendrick talks about his idols like Curt Hennig, Ricky Steamboat and studying wrestlers like the Rock n’ Roll Express and the Midnight Express and says he enjoys their style of wrestling.
Kendrick says he likes what the X Division stands for and wants to hold the championship someday. He talks about the reputation it has as a small guy, high flyer division and says he wants to take on any comers to prove that the title is for the champion of champions.
The wrestlers give their thoughts on doing a live television show and Joe promises that Spike TV will regret their decision for having a live show. Mick Foley says it will be his chance to show the world what he is made of one last time as ReAction comes to a close.
