The Band has left the building. News has come out that both Scott Hall and Sean Waltman have been released from TNA. Reports state that Hall was fired on Monday at the Impact tapings in Orlando and it was reported on Tuesday that TNA has no plans on bringing Waltman back into company.
Hall’s release comes nearly a month after being arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer in Chuluota, Florida. The arrest came one day after an episode of Impact aired in which he became one half of the TNA Tag Team Champions. Hall was used sparingly since then and is said to have been written off Impact which will air this Thursday.
Waltman came in at the same time as Hall and hasn’t been used in quite some time. Waltman was said to have no-showed the Lockdown pay-per-view but it was later revealed that he was not cleared to wrestle due to him contracting hepatitis C. A couple of weeks after Lockdown, Waltman was written off the show after suffering a bloody attack at the hands of Team 3D.
You would think with the track record the two have in the wrestling business that promotions would know to stay far away from them. Unfortunately, TNA has not learned from their past mistakes and have brought Hall and Waltman back in time and time again.
I harbor no ill feelings personally towards the two and I hope that some day the can right their wrongs and get the help that they need. Professionally, though, I don’t ever want to see them step inside the squared circle in TNA, WWE or even ROH for that matter.
