Sacrifice 2010 Recap

Quick results for the Sacrifice pay-per-view.

Match 1: Beer Money vs. the Motorcity Machine Guns vs. Team 3D (#1 Contenders Match)
James Storm spit beer into Brother Ray’s face as Team 3D was setting up to hit the 3D on Robert Roode.  Ray is then taken out with a spinebuster from Roode and a splash from the top rope by Alex Shelley that allows Chris Sabin to pick up the pin fall.  The win makes the Motorcity Machine Guns the #1 contenders to the TNA Tag Team Championship.

Match 2: Rob Terry vs. Orlando Jordan (TNA Global Championship)
Orlando Jordan worked over Rob Terry’s knee but missed with high risk move from the middle rope, which allowed Rob Terry to hit a chokeslam to score the pin fall victory.  After the match, though, Jordan attacked Terry from behind and slam Terry’s injured knee on the Global Championship belt.

Match 3: Kazarian vs. Douglas Williams (TNA X Division Championship)
Kazarian and Douglas Williams both picked up near falls towards the end of the match but it was Williams who won the match after pinning Kazarian after landing the Chaos Theory.  Williams regained the X Division Championship that he never lost nor gave up.

Match 4: Madison Rayne vs. Tara (TNA Knockouts Championship vs. Career)
Tara hit the Widow’s Peak on Madison Rayne but Madison rolled out to the floor to avoid being pinned.  Tara rolls Madison back in the ring and hits a moonsault but Madison kicks out of the pin attempt.  Tara goes for another moonsault but Madison rolled out of the way and hits Tara with a knee to the head to pick up the pin fall, thus ending Tara’s TNA career.

Match 5: The Band vs. Ink Inc. (TNA Tag Team Championship)
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash defended the tag team championship against Ink Inc. as it was specified that any member of the Band can defend the titles.  In the end, Brother Ray came out and nailed Jesse Neal with a kendo stick as Eric Young helped Nash cover Neal to score the pin fall.

Match 6: Desmond Wolfe vs. Abyss (Chelsea vs. Hall of Fame Ring)
Chelsea tossed Desmond Wolfe some brass knuckles that he used to take out Abyss, however, he was able to kick out of the pin attempt.  Abyss then won the match shortly afterwards by hitting the Black Hole Slam.  Abyss then told Chelsea that he will see her on Thursday as he has won her for 30 days.

Match 7: Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy
Mr. Anderson hit the Mic Check on Jeff Hardy but Hardy was able to break the pin attempt by placing his foot on the ropes.  Hardy was then able to recover and hit Anderson with a Twist of Fate before connecting with a Swanton Bomb for the pin fall.  After the match, Anderson offered Hardy a handshake but Hardy walked away.

Match 8: Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett
Sting beat down Jeff Jarrett and left him bloody in the back before the match even started.  Sting brought the fight out into the Impact Zone where he continued to assault Jarrett with a baseball bat, a steel chair and even the ring steps.  The match finally made it to the ring where Sting landed the Scorpion Death Drop for the pin fall in just mere seconds.  Hogan then came out and stared at Sting as he stood in the ring and laughed.

Match 9: Rob Van Dam vs. AJ Styles (TNA World Championship)
Earl Hebner sent Ric Flair to the back shortly after the match started but Flair took a detour and joined the announce team instead.  Flair stayed at the booth until Styles missed with a 450 splash and then started to head back towards the ring but was stopped when Jay Lethal came out from the back.  Lethal delivered a low blow on Flair before putting him in the figure four as RVD hit the five star frog splash on Styles to pick up the victory.
