Global Championship Won at House Show

When Eric Young renamed the Legends Championship as the Global Championship, he promised never to defend the little used title on American soil.  Well, he held his word on that promise and finally defended the title against Big Rob Terry during TNA’s Maximum UK tour stop in Terry’s hometown of Cardiff, Wales.

In a rare house show moment, Terry defeated Young in front of his hometown crowd with his family and friends in attendance.  In a post-match interview with The Sun, Terry stated that he didn’t know it was going to be a title match until the last minute and that it was an honor to win the Global Championship in hometown.
