It has been reported by ProWrestling.net that former TNA Knockout Champion, Angelina Love, has been released by TNA. It had come to the attention of the legal department that Love, who is from Canada, had been working on a dated work visa.
This is a huge blow to the Knockout Division as Love is one of the few in the division who have displayed some character and personality. Also, with the new Knockout Tag Team Championships, Love’s team of the Beautiful People should have been odds on favorites to win.
The finals of the tournament, which the Beautiful People were supposed to be competing in, takes place at No Surrender on September 20th. Gerweck.net reported that TNA would be open to working with Love in the future once her visa issues are resolved, so one can hope that it is complete by that time.
Of course, TNA has been in this type of situation before with pay-per-view matches being booked on the fly with the likes of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Pacman Jones not being able to wrestle or just flat out no-showing the event, so if anyone can make an instant substitution, it is TNA.
Although a last minute change in this particular situation probably would not be something I would like to see as the Beautiful People without Angelina Love isn’t all that beautiful.
