There wasn’t much hype for it during last night’s episode of Impact, but next week will mark the 200th episode of the show on SpikeTV. To celebrate the special event, SpikeTV is allowing Impact to run 15 minutes longer than usual, so set your DVRs accordingly.
In an article on TNAwrestling.com, the special 200th show will feature the first match in the best of three series between AJ Styles and Matt Morgan. It will also feature a “War of Champions” with two World Titles on the line and Team 3D defending the IWGP Tag Team Titles against the British Invasion. Bobby Lashley and Taz will also be on the show.
Maybe I missed it last night, but you’d think that they would have put forth an effort to plug next week’s show. Too often TNA leaves viewers without a hook to tune in again or promote the matches for the following week. For example, even in the teaser on their web site doesn’t state who will be in the “War of Champions” match. It could be Kurt Angle vs. Angelina Love for all I know.
I sincerely hope it is more than a standard episode of Impact that just runs 15 minutes longer. I know the show has already been taped, but please make it a special deal TNA.
