Lashley Officially Joins TNA

It has been a while but Bobby Lashley has officially joined TNA.  As most of you probably remember, Lashley made his TNA debut at Lockdown by coming out a pointing at Kurt Angle.  Lashley did the finger point to Angle once again on Impact and was last seen walking in the backstage area at the end of April.

Lashley broke the news about joining TNA on an ESPN radio show and TNA followed shortly after with a press release about the contract signing.  Lashley’s contract allows him to pursue both a professional wrestling career and a MMA career at the same time and Lashley stated that he will get fans of both sports to cross over to the other.

TNA schedule will easily work around Lashley’s MMA training as they tape their shows well in advance and only offer a live televised pay-per-view once a month.  One has to wonder, though, if Lashley is spreading himself too thin.  Injuries are a part of both lines of work and an injury in one will have an dramatic effect on the other.

If Lashley is able to remain for the most part injury free, it will be interesting to see how well he can go back and forth between both careers.  The two have a few similarities but they both greatly differ in a lot of aspects.  Trying to protect your opponent and trying to harm your opponent is one that immediately comes to mind.

At any rate, Lashley is a fresh face for TNA and a relatively fresh face to pro wrestling.  Judging by his time in the WWE, Lashley is still a little rough around the edges in the personality and promo aspect, but if he is paired with the right individual or group, he should be able to go far in TNA.  He certainly already has the look and physic.
