Footage of Samoa Joe joining the Main Event Mafia and the group taking out Sting is aired to kick off Impact. The intro and pyro goes off as Mike Tenay wonders what Mick Foley will have in store for Kurt Angle and wonders how Jeff Jarrett will resolve his differences with Foley.
The MEM music hits as they all come out to the ring and Kurt Angle says what happened to Sting last week wasn’t personal, it was just business. He then calls out Mick Foley to face the boss man-to-man. Foley’s music hits and he comes down to the ring and Angle says he made a cardinal sin by crossing the boss and going back on his word. Foley says he made a bad decision and is having a bad week and wants to be left alone.
The former MEM security step in to protect Foley but Scott Steiner takes them both out with his lead pipe. Foley offers the MEM a free shot at him but pleads to leave enough of him left so he can wrestle Angle at Victory Road. Foley then takes a swing at Angle and the MEM circle around and take him out. Jeff Jarrett’s music hits and he comes running down with a guitar and chases everyone out of the ring. Jarrett then smashes the guitar over Foley’s head and leaves the ring.
We see footage of Foley not wanting any help during the commercial break. The announce team then sends it to Jeremy Borash where Foley is being held back in the locker room where he was trying to confront Jarrett. We are then treated to a sit down interview between Mike Tenay and Kevin Nash.
Nash talks about being on the road over 300 days in the WWF and was barely making any money. He then got a call from Eric Bischoff and was promised more money with less days and the choice was easy to make. Nash puts over AJ Styles for a bit and talks about his upcoming shot at the Legends Championship and how much more money that will bring him as champion.
Abyss is then seen storming around the back looking for Dr. Stevie. Abyss grabs Lauren and tells her that he is sick, and will be sick tomorrow. Abyss says he never asked her to stop being a woman and doesn’t want her to ask him to stop being a monster. Abyss kisses her on the forehead and continues to look for Stevie.
Match 1: Cody Deaner vs. Amazing Red
The match starts and Red and Deaner go back and forth with arm bars until Red takes Deaner down with a hurricanrana. Deaner rolls out to the floor to regroup and Red dives over the ropes and takes him out on the floor. The match returns to the ring and Deaner takes control of the match with a huge lariat and a power slam to pick up a near fall over Red.
Red then reverses an Irish whip and nearly picks up a near fall after hitting his multi-kick dropkick. Red then heads up to the top rope and is distracted by ODB on the floor and Deaner knocks him down. Deaner then puts on his trucker cap and takes his time on the top rope but misses with a diving head butt. Red the hits the Red Eye to pick up the pin fall.
Abyss is in the back and is demolishing photo sets as security walks in with a bunch of baseball bats. The head of security runs in and stares him down and says this is not going to happen in his house and the two stare at each other as we head into a commercial.
Jeremy Borash is in the locker room with Jeff Jarrett who is pulling out his ring gear. The Main Event Mafia walk in and want to have a friendly chat and Kurt Angle gives Jarrett a peace offering. Angle says with their power and Jarrett’s control, they could rule the business for the next 10 years. Jarrett refuses the offer and says it is his house, his company, and they are playing by his rules. Jarrett then books Angle in a tag team match with Samoa Joe against Jarrett and AJ Styles. If Angle’s team loses, whoever scores the pin fall will be the new TNA World Champion.
Lauren is backstage with Jenna Morasca and says that she is going to fight Sharmell at Victory Road. She calls Sharmell a joke and says it is going to be on. Sojo Bolt walks in and says she doesn’t know what she is talking about and Sharmell is her girl, so she has a problem with her. Bolt then promises to personally train her for her match.
Jeremy Borash is with the MEM in their locker room and Angle says Jarrett signed his own death certificate. Angle says he and Joe are unstoppable and he will found out why the world is the Mafia’s to take. Booker T and Sharmell then begin to argue with Booker telling her to go fetch Matt Morgan.
Match 2: Eric Young vs. Rhino
Young attacks Rhino as he slides into the ring but Rhino quickly turns the match into his favor. Rhino picks up a near fall after landing a short arm clothesline but Young comes back and takes Rhino down with a clothesline of his own. Young puts Rhino in a headlock and then goes after Jesse Neal and tosses him into the guard railing.
Young then goes back after Rhino with a series of blows but Rhino makes a comeback and takes Young out with a spinebuster. Neal then comes in the ring and argues with the referee as Rhino is trying to go for the pin fall. Rhino goes to tell Neal to get off the ring apron and Young shoves Rhino into Neal and picks up the quick pin fall while using the ropes for leverage.
Lauren is with Sharmell who catches up with Matt Morgan and tells him that Kurt Angle wants to speak with him. Morgan is ecstatic and says he knew today was the day he was going to be asked to join the MEM.
After a commercial break we join the Mafia in their dressing room as Matt Morgan arrives. Morgan asks Angle how many figures they are talking about and Angle says he needs to do a few more things before he is brought into the group. Angle wants Morgan to make sure that Christopher Daniels is nowhere near the ring during the tag team match tonight. Morgan says he can take care of it but his patience is wearing thin.
Match 3: The Beautiful People vs. Awesome Kong & Tara
Velvet starts off against Tara and quickly takes her down but Tara quickly reverses it and puts her in a submission move. Awesome Kong then tags herself into the match and tosses Velvet aside and wants Angelina Love to come in. Kong quickly takes her down and beats her down in the corner as Tara tags herself into the match. Velvet distracts Tara for a moment which allows the Beautiful People to take control of the match.
The Beautiful People cut off the ring and use quick tags and double team moves to wear down Tara but she is able to take Angelina down and make a tag to Kong. Kong comes in and takes down both members of the Beautiful People as this match begins to break down. Tara takes Angelina out on the floor as Kong takes Velvet out with the Implant Buster in the ring to pick up the pin fall.
After the match, Tara puts her tarantula on Velvet as Kong looks on in horror. The rest of the Beautiful People run to the back as we head into a commercial break.
Lauren is backstage with Angelina Love and wonders this is a wrestling show or the animal kingdom. She doesn’t seem to be too concerned about Velvet and Lauren gets her to freak out by asking what is on her shoulder.
Beer Money comes out to join the announce team to get a good view of this next matchup.
Match 4: Team 3D vs. Booker T & Scott Steiner (#1 Contenders Match)
The two sides get into s shoving match before the bell rings. Order is finally restored and the match begins as Steiner and Ray go back and forth with a series of power moves. Booker and Devon then come in the match and Booker takes control as the Mafia wears him down with quick tags. Devon, though, takes Booker down with a clothesline and makes the hot tag to Ray.
Ray comes in out both Booker and Steiner but Booker comes back with the Book End, however, Ray kicks out of the pin attempt. Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi then come to the announce table as they start brawling with Beer Money. Back to the match, Team 3D hits the 3D on Booker but Rudy Charles is being distracted by Sharmell. Steiner tries to sneak in but Ray slams him down to the mat and they hit the flying headbutt on him.
Ray then calls for the tables as the British Invasion comes down to the ring. Doug Williams distracts the referee as Rob Terry attacks Devon on the floor and Brutus Magnus cracks the Feast or Fired briefcase across Ray’s head. Magnus drapes Booker’s arm across Ray and gets the pin fall.
Jethro Holliday is in the ring for a match with Jay Lethal but Lethal doesn’t come out during his entrance music. The camera head to the back to see Lethal and Abyss going at it and Abyss lays him out. Consequences Creed tries to help his partner but also gets laid out. Abyss heads to the ring and takes Holliday down with the Black Hole Slam before tossing him out to the floor.
Abyss gets a microphone and calls out Dr. Stevie and says that he doesn’t need him anymore. Abyss says there will be no more therapy sessions and no more shock treatment. Abyss says that when he does get his hands on Stevie and will snap him across his shoulders like a twig with his own shock treatment.
Stevie appears on the big screen and he has Lauren. Stevie says he isn’t going to do anything to her because he is not a monster like he is. Stevie says after 10 years of therapy Abyss turned on him for her. Stevie says he owns him and he will return next week for more therapy. Abyss then runs out of the ring a to the back as we head into a commercial break.
Match 5: Jeff Jarrett & AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe (TNA World Championship)
Angle and Jarrett go back and forth with a series of counters and reversals in the opening moments of the match. The fans start a “TNA!” chant as Jarrett tags in Styles and Angle tags in Joe. Styles and Joe also go back and forth and Angle tries to get back into the ring but Styles clotheslines him over the ropes as we head into a commercial break.
We return to see Angle in control of the match over Styles but Styles takes Angle down with a kick to the head. Styles begins crawling to his corner but Joe runs in and knocks Jarrett of the ring apron. Angle then tags in Joe who continues beating down Styles but Styles is able to take both Joe and Angle down with a double DDT.
Jarrett begins crawling back onto the apron and Styles catches Joe with a Pele kick and crawls to the corner to tag his partner. Angle is tagged into the match and picks up a couple of near falls before putting Angle up in the corner to go for the Stroke. Joe, though, cuts him off and tries to go for the muscle buster but Jarrett squirms out of it. Styles then hits Joe with a flying forearm but inadvertently takes out the referee in the process.
Jarrett finally gets up and hits Angle with the Stroke but the referee is out and cannot make the count. Jarrett goes out and grabs his guitar and begins to size up Angle but the referee recovers and takes the guitar away from Jarrett. Angle then puts Jarrett in an ankle lock as Jarrett tries to crawl to his corner to make a tag to Styles but Joe knocks Styles off the ring apron. Angle drops down to the canvas to apply more pressure but Jarrett still won’t tap out. Jarrett finally passes out from the pain and the match is awarded to the Mafia.
The rest of the Main Event Mafia comes out to the ring to celebrate the victory but Styles slides in with the Legends Championship and swings it around at the Mafia to clear the ring. He finally nails Joe, but Joe takes him down as the rest of the Mafia swarm the ring and begin beating Styles down.
We then see action in the back as Matt Morgan is taking out Christopher Daniels with a kendo stick in the backstage area. Back in the ring, Kevin Nash is about to nail Styles with the Legends Championship but the lights go out in the Impact Zone. Sting then appears in the ring and takes out the Mafia with a baseball bat and grabs the TNA World Championship. The lights go out once again and Sting is gone as is the title belt as Impact comes to a close.
