In an interview with The Sun, SoCal Val stated that the TNA Knockouts are ready to take over the annual Playboy spot the WWE Divas left behind due to the WWE becoming more “family friendly.” I can’t argue her on that as it sounds like a good fit to me. Plus, can you imagine the word play of having TNA in Playboy.
This could all just be a pipe dream for Val and/or TNA, but they already have an obvious link to the adult publication with Christy Hemme, who posed in Playboy in April of 2005. Being a red blooded male, I am all for having the Knockouts pose in Playboy, however, there are a few exceptions to that statement.
Awesome Kong – We have already had the pleasure (or is it displeasure) of seeing her top come of during her match at Bound for Glory in 2007. It may have been better had I been prepared for it, but I still wake at nights in a cold sweat because of that wardrobe malfunction.
ODB – Elaine Benes had it right when she compared the female body is a work of art while the male counterpart is more utilitarian. Unfortunately for ODB, she falls in the latter category. No, she is not a man, but something about ODB in the buff is not a pleasant thought. Or maybe because she is not just another pretty face.
Rhaka Khan – Her theme music says it all – freak.
Aside from those three, I’d gladly pay the cover price if it featured the likes of Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, SoCal Val, Traci Brooks, or even Lauren. And I’d promise to look at more than just the articles.
