TNA Signs New Knockout

TNA Signs New Knockout

Pro Wrestling Insider reported today that TNA has signed Sarah Stock to their roster.  Stock has been wrestling since 2002 and has wrestled in both Canada and Mexico.  In 2005, Steve Gerweck had the opportunity to interview her and in a humorous moment when asked for her thoughts on TNA she admits that she does not watch the product.  The entire interview can be found on Gerweck.net.

I haven’t had the chance to watch Stock wrestle in the ring as of yet, but by the sound of it she will be a great fit for the Knockout Division.  It is no secret that the Knockout Division has been lacking since Gail Kim left and I can only hope that she can fill some of the void that was left upon Kim’s departure.  This also backs the statement that TNA is trying to freshen up its roster with new talent.  I am all for some fresh faces, but what I would like more is some fresh minds and ideas from the creative staff.  Scratch that – a whole fresh, new, creative staff.

I’m not one to point all of the blame solely on Vince Russo as it also consists of Jeff Jarrett, Dutch Mantel and others, but something needs to be done and done quickly.  I have been a supporter for TNA for quite some time but even I have become tired of their same old product week after week.

The biggest problem with their current booking crew is that they leave themselves open much too often for easy criticism with their gaps in logic and reasoning.  Due to that, TNA will continually have troubles winning over new fans and keeping their current ones because of their poor creative decisions.

Looking strictly at their talent pool, TNA should be fun to watch and successful at the same time.  If blame must be placed somewhere, it is the creative team and it is in dire need of a complete overhaul.  Don’t get me wrong, I really want TNA to succeed as it would benefit both the wrestlers and fans alike, but this will be nearly unattainable with the direction they are currently going in.
