No, this isn’t about 80’s pop rock band, Mr. Mister, it’s about something I noticed a couple of weeks ago on Impact. As you may recall, I wrote an article several months ago about Samoa Joe’s World Championship belt having broken wings. Throughout Joe’s six-month reign at the top, the World Championship would stay in the shape and form.
It was easily seen during last week’s episode of Impact when Sting took on Jay Lethal that the championship belt has now been fixed to its former self. Maybe it was due to the switch to high definition, or maybe Sting decided to voice his concern about having a flawed title, or maybe they found some extra money laying around after recently letting go of Johnny Devine, Pat Kenney and Glenn Gilberti.
Whatever the reason may be, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is now fixed and the wings have been restored to the top championship of the promotion.
