Impact the Vote
If you have an hour of time to pass and would rather hear about the upcoming presidential election from pro wrestlers instead of pundits, the latest edition of The Spin Cycle just may be up your alley.
For this extended version of the show, TNA brought out four personalities - AJ Styles, Mick Foley, Booker T, and BG James - who discussed and gave their thoughts on the upcoming presidential election. What makes this even more interesting is the fact that none of wrestlers were in character and they got to speak their own thoughts and give their own opinions. In the end, all four of them got a chance to endorse a presidential candidate and gave their reasons why. By the time it comes to this, though, it is pretty easy to tell who each of them is going to endorse, however, there is one surprise.
As for my thoughts on the election, I will say that for the first time in 8 years I feel that both the Republican and Democratic nominees are competent and can no doubt lead and run this country. No matter who is elected, the next President will have to step up and lead this country through one of its toughest times as the economy is in bad shape, the housing market is in shambles, new job opportunities are nowhere to be found, and wars are still being fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. A tough situation to be put into the first day on the job.
Both John McCain and Barack Obama know what they are getting into and have their own plans and ideas to help fix the current crop of problems facing America today. With McCain, however, I feel that his time in office would end up with just more of the same as what came from the last 8 years with the Bush administration. What America needs is a drastic change from that mentality and I feel that Obama can usher in that change. So, yes, my vote is going to Barack Obama.
With the election campaign winding down, it is time for us to decide who will be the 44th President of the United States. As I said earlier, both of these men are qualified to run this country and no matter what side you are on, make sure you head out to the polls on Tuesday, if you haven’t already, and cast your vote.
