- I guess there was a dark match, but I missed it due to the lines at the merchandise stand. Another fan told me that Christy Hemme was involved in the match, so I wasn’t too worried about seeing it.
- Prior to the event, Jeremy Borash announced that Curtis Granderson, a Chicago native that is currently playing centerfield for the Detroit Tigers, was sitting in the front row across from the cameras. At least it wasn’t AJ Pierzynski.
- The live crowd was very loud and very vocal for the amount of people who were there. My guess, which could be way off, would be around 5,000 fans. I saw some empty seats throughout t he crowd and none of the upper deck seats were used, but the majority of the seats were occupied. I’m sure this would be considered as a good turnout by TNA standards.
- I’m not sure if it made it onto television or not, but I am glad to see that Kip James acknowledged my sign not once, but twice. I made my brother hold it up while I took photos prior to their match and he responded with a smile and a crotch chop. A few moments later, Velvet Sky pointed the sign out to him. James responded by pointing at us and wiping away some fake tears.
- My sign would only be shown up by another person a few rows ahead of me. Matt Morgan ended up using his marker board sign during the Monster’s Ball match when he smashed it over Brother Devon’s head.
- I was disappointed due to the fact that TNA used two big screens next to the entrance but rarely used them to show the live action. At times, they were used to show the action or replays outside of the ring, but even that was spotty. For example, when Abyss was driven through the flaming table, that wasn’t shown as it happened. The fans who weren’t able to see the action, such as me, had to wait until the replay aired on the screens to see anything.
- Speaking of the big screens, with the exception of the Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett pre-match interviews, none of the crowd got to see any of the backstage segments that went on in between the matches. Instead, we got to see Jeremy Borash shill their video games, backstage passes and their trading cards. As a matter of fact, until I got back to my hotel, I didn’t even know that Jim Cornette was in attendance until I read about it in review of the show.
- Even with those issues, the overall show was a lot of fun to watch and was worth the 10-hour drive to be there in person.
- I ended up taking around 500+ photos of the events and plan on posting a few of the good ones on thehexagoncircle.com in the near future.

I was at the show with a few buddies and we had a great time. Ive been to wrestlemania, no mercy and raw but this blew them out of the water. We would have liked to see the interviews and the big screen used more but other than that it was the best show any of us were ever at. Its nice to see wrestlers with actual characters, actually wrestle. Maby its time for wwe to sit up and take notice because the wwe has sucked balls for the last couple of years.
