Live from Las Vegas, It’s TNA Impact?

Mike Johnson of Pro Wrestling Insider reported earlier today that TNA would be running a house show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 23rd.  A few hours later, Mike Johnson later added that it was not going to be a house show, but TNA would be airing Impact live on Spike TV from the City of Sin.

This is huge news for TNA as it is not only a rare live broadcast of their television show, but it is the first time they have had Impact take place at a venue outside of the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.  TNA and fans alike can only hope that this is a sign of things to come as both live broadcasts and taking the show on the road can greatly help increase their fan base and television ratings.

Even though this show is set take place in Las Vegas, it would seem that luck isn’t on their side.  TNA’s first live broadcast took place with some stiff competition from other networks, namely March Madness with the NCAA basketball tournament.  If that wasn’t tough enough, October 23rd is scheduled to also be the date for game 2 of the MLB World Series.  TNA just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to these live show.

As always, I will provide coverage of the show, but if it does air live, I will cover the show as it happens on Gerweck.net.  And even with TNA’s tough luck, that is one thing you can make a safe bet on.
