It was announced today on tnawrestling.com that Kaz is leaving the company. The press release stated that he gave TNA his notice this morning and has agreed to finish out the rest of his obligations before leaving at the end of July.
Seeing as the news is coming from TNA, my mind is telling me, and I hope it’s right, is that it’s all part of an angle. Having Kaz get down on himself for his recent string of high profile losses and then turning his back on TNA, and wrestling altogether, could all be part of an elaborate storyline to possibly repackage and give his character an overhaul. Having it all play out that way wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
If the news of him leaving the company is true, however, I sincerely wish him the best of luck in all that he does. It’s not hard to see why he has been in several big matches over the past several months. Overall charisma hasn’t been one of his strong points, but Kaz has been one of the best, consistent performers in the six-sided ring in recent years and there will be a huge void to fill in his absence.
