TNA in the UK … Again
On the heels of completing a successful 4-day tour of the United Kingdom, TNA announced plans to again fly across the Atlantic and entertain the blokes over there in January of 2009. The news release for the “Maximum Impact” tour revealed that another four shows will take place and will feature the return of a former World Champion.
What World Champion you might ask? Well, according to The Sun, the returning champion will be none other than the Great One himself, Jeff Jarrett. Furthermore, a special web site put together for the UK tour even has Jarrett in the artwork.
This leads me to wonder if Jarrett will just be wrestling in the overseas house shows or if a full time return to six-sided ring is eminent. There is no doubt in my mind that Jarrett still has something left to give something to TNA as he is still in his early 40’s. However, I do know that wrestling became secondary to him, and should have, when his late wife became seriously ill from her bout with breast cancer.
If Jarrett is willing to lace up the boots for another run in TNA, I would predict that he would come back prior to Bound for Glory IV. If not then, another possibility would be after the UK tour is over. In my eyes, Jarrett would be a welcome addition to the roster after being gone from the ring for over a year, even if it is only temporary.
