TNA Announces New DVD Titles
According to tnawrestling.com, a total of four new TNA DVDs are on the horizon and will be released between the months of August and November. The four titles are “The Best of the Bloodiest Brawls: Scars and Stitches,” “Knocked Out,” “Ultimate Matches,” and “Kurt Angle: Champion.”

Based on the short descriptions written in the news release, I know I am looking forward to “The Best of the Bloodiest Brawls: Scars and Stitches” and “Ultimate Matches.” Of course, my feelings may change once the matches that are included on the video have been released.
I own “The Best of the Bloodiest Brawls: Vol. One,” which isn’t actually the first one for those of you keeping track at home, and found it very entertaining. I am hoping that “The Best of the Bloodiest Brawls: Scars and Stitches” continues on in that same vein.
As for “Ultimate Matches,” it is said to contain some of TNA’s vast array of specialty matches such as King of the Mountain, Ultimate X, Monster’s Ball and even the TerrorDome match. Sure, it may sound like gimmick match hell, but that is the whole appeal of it – and TNA shouldn’t have troubles finding matches to put on this disc.
The TNA Knockouts DVD, cleverly entitled “Knocked Out,” is one that you may want to see what they have in store for it as TNA’s web site didn’t say too much about it. To give the women credit, the Knockout Division has been one of the best things in TNA as of late; however, it only started gaining momentum less than a year so it may be a little premature to devote an entire DVD to the division.
In all honesty, the DVD highlighting Kurt Angle’s career in TNA is the one that I am looking forward to the least. Since joining TNA, Angle has captured all of the gold and became the company’s second Triple Crown winner, which is an amazing feat given that he was in the promotion for less than a year when he accomplished that task.
Even with all of those championships added to his resume, I still think it is too soon for a DVD about his time in the company. I guess I am more of a purist and enjoy a more comprehensive look at one’s career instead of one that focuses in on a small capsule of time.
At any rate, look for reviews of all of these videos once they find their way into my DVD player.
