A video package airs as the voiceover guy talks about how legends may rise and champions may fall as wrestling footage is aired. He ends by saying every deed tonight will echo through eternity as we head into the Impact Zone to the live crowd for Destination X. The pyro goes off as Mike Tenay tells us this is TNA’s version of March Madness before the announce team hypes tonight’s card. They then talk about Abyss being taken away in handcuff during the pre-show and wonder how that will play into tonight’s falls count anywhere match between Abyss and Jeff Hardy.
Match 1: 3Live Kru/America’s Most Wanted vs. Team Canada
Scott D’Amore joins Team Canada with Johnny Devine, who is on crutches and can’t compete tonight and taking his place is Alastair Ralphs. BG James starts out strong in the match and sends Team Canada outside of the ring to regroup. Konnan is tagged in and he takes out Eric Young with a clothesline before throwing his shoe at him. James Storm is tagged in and hits Young with a flurry of moves and AMW works together to take out Team Canada. Harris sends Storm flying over the ropes and onto Young and Roode as Harris then jumps off the top rope and takes out everyone else.
The match returns to the ring as Team Canada is able to turn the momentum of the match into their favor. Team Canada works over Harris with double team moves and quick tags into the match. Mike Tenay informs us that the situation with Abyss has been resolved and the match will go on tonight. Back to the action, Ralphs powers Harris around and picks up a near fall as Team Canada continues their quick tag assault. Harris is finally able to counter Young’s moves as he crawls over and makes the tag to Konnan.
Konnan comes in and takes out every member of Team Canada and puts Roode in the Tequila Sunrise but the move is broken up as the match breaks down. D’Amore also gets involved as Konnan slams him down to the mat. Roode, however, nails Konnan with a northern lariat and picks up the pin fall for his team.
Traci and Trinity are backstage with Dusty Rhodes. Johnny Fairplay comes in and tells Rhodes that he found the clue and would have come and given it to him had he known he would have been attacked by Traci and Trinity. Fairplay asks for a second chance and Rhodes tells him to find a tag team within the next three hours and he will be in the running. Rhodes then wishes Traci and Trinity good luck as we head into the next match of the night.
Match 2: Chase Stevens vs. Chris Sabin
Chris Candido and Andy Douglas accompanies Stevens to the ring. The bell rings and Sabin quickly hits Stevens with a hurricanrana and sends him out to the floor. Sabin then dives out to the floor and connects with Stevens before hitting both Douglas and Candido for good measure. Back to the ring, Stevens gains control of the match as Candido and Douglas help out their partner while the referee is distracted. Stevens continues to work over Sabin and picks up a few near falls as the crowd starts a “Let’s go Sabin!” chant.
Sabin finally comes back and hits Stevens with an inverted atomic drop and hits a couple of clotheslines. Sabin then connects with a tornado DDT and Sabin goes for the pin but Stevens kicks out as Sabin has a look of disbelief on his face. Candido then distracts the referee as Douglas comes in and the two work over Sabin with double team moves. Stevens then rolls up Sabin, but Sabin reverses it and picks up the pin fall. After the match, the Naturals and Candido begin to beat down Sabin until a masked man comes out and takes them out. He then takes off his mask and it is Shocker.
The announce team talk about Shocker being in a McDonalds commercial and how he wrestles for CMLL and is the current NWA Light Heavyweight Champion and how all of the great stars want to be a part of TNA. They switch gears to the grudge match between Raven and Dustin Rhodes, and that match is coming up next.
Match 3: Raven vs. Dustin Rhodes (Bullrope Match)
The referee straps the bullrope on Rhodes but Raven is reluctant to do so. Raven heads out to the floor where he finally gets it put on and Rhodes goes out to the floor and sends Raven into the ring post a few times. Rhodes then misses with the cowbell but pulls Raven into the guard railing. Rhodes continues to drag Raven all over the ring before choking Raven with the rope. Rhodes begins to go to the top rope but Raven pulls him down making Rhodes crash down to the canvas.
Raven then heads out and grabs a steel chair and sends Rhodes flying into it before working over Rhodes with the cowbell. Raven then puts Rhodes’ head on the chair and nails him with an elbow drop. Raven then goes to the middle rope and tries again but Rhodes rolls out of the way and Raven crashes into the chair. Rhodes regains control and tries for a bulldog onto the cowbell but Raven is able to counter. Raven then sets up the chair and goes for a drop toe hold but Rhodes counters and drives Raven into the chair to pick up the pin fall.
After the match, Team Canada storms the ring and they begin to beat down Rhodes until AMW comes out to help Rhodes. AMW and Rhodes clears the ring of Team Canada and they head to the back.
A video package is aired that focus on Traci and Trinity’s tag teams. Trinity is bringing in Phi Delta Slam while Traci is bringing in the Disciples of Destruction. The match up between these two tag teams is up next with the winning manager becoming Dusty Rhodes’ personal assistant.
Match 4: Phi Delta Slam vs. the Disciples of Destruction
The match starts and the match quickly breaks down as the DOD clear the ring. Phi Delta Slam regroups and tries to double team Big R, but he comes back and takes them both out. While the referee has his hands full, Heavy D nails Big Tilly on the floor with a chair. Back in the ring, Heavy D comes into the match andTrinity distracts him as Bruno Sassi sends him out to the floor. Tilly works over Heavy D for a bit before rolling him back into the ring.
Phi Delta Slam begins to work over Heavy D with quick tags and double team moves. The match breaks down for a bit as Heavy D is sent out to the floor. Trinity tries to take Heavy D out with a moonsault but he catches her and sends her over the guard railing and into the crowd. Back to the ring, Bruno takes Heavy D down but misses with an elbow from the middle rope. Heavy D fires back with a clothesline and tags Big R into the match.
DOD goes after Phi Delta Slam but Heavy D is sent out to the floor and Phi Delta Slam double teams Big R. Big Tilly hits Big R with a splash from the middle rope but the referee is distracted with what is going on outside of the ring to make a pin count. Tilly goes to get the referee’s attention and Heavy D switches places with Big R. Big R plays possum for a while until he connect with a big boot to pick up the pin fall. Due to their victory, Traci has become the personal assistant to Dusty Rhodes.
We see Dustin Rhodes and AMW backstage talking about Team Canada as Johnny Fairplay walks up to them and says he is looking for a tag team. Fairplay says he’ll be their manager and the three of them want him to take a survivor test. Storm puts a saddle on Fairplay and begins to ride him like a horse until Fairplay runs away.
A video package for Trytan is aired about the messages he has been sending to Monty Brown. Trytan makes his in ring debut tonight and that match is coming up next.
Match 5: Monty Brown vs. Trytan
Brown nails Trytan with a flurry of offense but Trytan picks him up and drops him to the canvas. Tryton then goes for a choke slam but Brown counters and ducks out of the way as Trytan falls out to the floor. The two begin the brawl around the ringside area with Trytan getting the advantage and sends Brown into the guard railing and into the Ultimate X structure. The match returns to the ring and Trytan continues on the attack and takes him down with a choke slam for a two count.
Brown begins to fight back and hits Trytan with a dropkick and a fallaway slam. Brown then goes for the Pounce but the lights go out in the Impact Zone. We see a masked man in the ring when the lights come back on and Brown hits the guy with a Pounce. Brown then covers and the referee reluctantly makes the pin count as Brown finally realizes it’s not Trytan. The match is over as Brown sees Trytan walking back through the entrance tunnel.
Diamond Dallas Page is backstage and is getting ready for his match against Jeff Jarrett. DDP says Jarrett is the King of the Mountain and he is living on Planet Jarrett. DDP says he kind of likes it. We head back to the announce table where they talk about Trytan before hyping the upcoming falls count anywhere match between Jeff Hardy and Abyss.
Match 6: Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy (Falls Count Anywhere)
As Hardy is posing for the crowd, Abyss goes out and grabs a chair but Hardy catches him with a kick in the midsection. Hardy clotheslines Abyss out to the floor and uses the chair to dive over the top rope and onto Abyss. The two begin to fight around the ring as Abyss tosses Hardy into the crowd and they begin to fight towards the backstage area. They begin fighting in the catering area as Abyss sets up a couple of tables but Hardy is able to recover and puts Abyss on the table. Hardy begins climbing up so me steel beams and drives Abyss through the tables with a Swanton Bomb.
Both of them are laid out on the ground as we see a replay of Hardy’s move from different angles. Back to the live action, Hardy picks up a near fall but Abyss begins to mount a comeback as they make their way to the backstage area. Abyss sends Hardy into a few walls on the way back towards the ring and crotches Hardy on the guard railing. Abyss rolls Hardy back into the ring as he tosses a few chairs into the ring. Abyss begins to set up a chair in the corner as Hardy dropkicks another chair into Abyss. Abyss is able to come back and connects with a big boot and he puts a chair across Hardy and hits a splash from the middle rope. Abyss goes for a cover but Hardy is able to kick out.
Abyss puts the chair on Hardy once again but Hardy is able to use to the chair to take Abyss down. Hardy then connects with a few head shots with the chair but Abyss is able to kick out of the pin attempt. Hardy heads out to the floor and begins to look under the ring for another chair. Hardy hits Abyss with the chair before he pulls a ladder from under the ring. Hardy sets up the ladder as they both begin to climb up it. Hardy knocks Abyss down to the canvas and then uses the ladder as a springboard to hit a double leg drop. Hardy again covers Abyss but he again kicks out.
Hardy then tries for the Twist of Fate but Abyss counters and hits the Shock Treatment but Hardy kicks out of the pin attempt. Abyss then charges at Hardy, but Hardy jumps out of the way and Abyss smashes himself into the chair he set up in the corner. Hardy rolls up Abyss for a pin fall but Abyss is still able to kick out. Hardy heads to the top rope but Abyss knocks him down and heads out to the floor and grabs a table. Abyss slides the table into the ring and sets it up before putting Hardy on it. Abyss begins to climb the ropes as Hardy gets up and tries to hit a hurricanrana but Abyss counters into a powerbomb and drives Hardy through the table.
Abyss clears the table out of the way and puts the ladder on the mat before going for a choke slam but Hardy counters and hits Abyss with the Twist of Fate onto the ladder. Hardy then makes the cover to pick up the pin fall to win the falls count anywhere match. After the match, Abyss beats down Hardy before going back under the ring for a bag of tacks. Abyss spreads the tacks across the mat and drives Hardy into the tacks with the Black Hole Slam. The crowd begins a “Holy shit!” chant as we see Hardy’s back is covered in thumbtacks.
Team Canada is backstage and are celebrating their victory and how they sent a message tonight. Scott D’Amore says nothing is out of their grasps and they are setting their sights on all of the gold. Johnny Fairplay comes in with a Canadian flag and says he is looking for a tag team and he has five guys, so he should be able to take two of them. Team Canada then chases him away.
We see video of the conclusion of the Against All Odds pay-per-vew. It then focuses on the Outlaw and Kevin Nash and how the two are going to have a first blood match taking place tonight.
Match 7: The Outlaw vs. Kevin Nash (First Blood Match)
The Outlaw nails Nash with a few closed fists in the opening moments, but Nash hits the Outlaw with a knee to the midsection to take over control of the match. Nash begins to pound the Outlaw with his fists before choking him with his boot. Nash then levels the Outlaw with a clothesline as the Outlaw rolls out to the floor and trips up Nash. The Outlaw begins to slam Nash’s knee on the side of the ring and then smashes his leg into the Ultimate X structure.
The Outlaw then grabs a toolbox from under the ring and pulls out a screwdriver. The Outlaw goes for Nash’s head but Nash is able to take it away from the Outlaw and clocks him with a couple of elbows. Nash then catapults the Outlaw over the top rope and onto the floor and Nash then sends him into the guard railing and the Ultimate X structure. Nash rolls the Outlaw into the ring before grabbing a chair and heading into the ring. The Outlaw, though, is able to connect with a low blow that knocks Nash down to the mat.
The Outlaw grabs the chair and clocks Nash in the head with it as the referee checks Nash for blood and there is no blood. The Outlaw goes back to the toolbox and uses wire cutters to remove the turnbuckle cover. The referee steps in and blocks the Outlaw from using it as Nash uses it to take control of the match. Nash levels the Outlaw with a big boot and tries to send the Outlaw into turnbuckle but the Outlaw escapes and pushes Nash into the referee. The referee is knocked out to the floor as Nash nails the Outlaw with a low blow.
Nash begins to pull off all of the padding on the turnbuckle and drops the Outlaw face first onto turnbuckle bolt a couple of times before he begins to pound his first into the Outlaws forehead. Nash has busted the Outlaw open and has blood on his taped fist as he heads out to revive the referee. Just then, Jeff Jarrett runs out and clocks Nash in the head with the NWA World Championship and a doctor runs out and cleans up the blood from the Outlaw’s forehead. The doctor is able to stop the bleeding as we see that Nash has been busted open as he is laid out on the floor.
The referee finally comes to and see the blood on Nash’s forehead and calls for the blood and awards the victory to the Outlaw. After the match, Nash comes into the ring and begins to nail the Outlaw with a series of right fists. Nash then takes him out with the Jackknife Powerbomb before leaving the ring.
Video footage of the Ultimate X match from Final Resolution and the Ironman match between AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels from Against All Odds is aired. The Ultimate X Challenge for the X Division Title is up next as the announce team runs down the rules of the match. It will start out as a tag team match with Styles and Elix Skipper against Daniels and Ron Killings, with the loser of the fall being eliminated. It will then turn into a triple threat match with the loser being eliminated. The final two will compete in an Ultimate X match to fight for the X Division Title.
Match 8: Elix Skipper vs. Ron Killings vs. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles (Ultimate X Challenge for X Division Championship)
The tag team portion of this match begins as Skipper and Killings go at it in the ring as Mike Tenay brings up the fact that Skipper and Styles had to be teamed together as Skipper and Daniels could not team together anymore after Triple X lost a match against AMW at Turning Point. Skipper nails Killings with a missile dropkick and Styles is tagged in, but he wants Daniels to come into the match. Killings goes to tag Daniels but he drops down to the floor and refuses to be tagged in.
Styles and Killings goes at it as Styles drops Killings with a dropkick but Daniels comes in and hits Styles from behind. Killings is able to take control of the match and tags Daniels into the match. Daniels continues to wear down Styles but Styles tries to mount a comeback, however, Skipper trips him up and Daniels levels Styles with a clothesline. Daniels then puts Styles in a crossface submission before hitting a moonsault for a near fall. Styles, though, comes back and drills Daniels with an enziguri as Daniels tags in Killings.
Styles goes to tag Skipper, but he turns his back on his partner. Killings then allows Styles to make the blind tag to Skipper and Killings brings him into the ring the hard way. Killings takes Skipper down and hits an axe kick from the top rope and goes for the cover but Daniels breaks up the pin fall. Killings sends Daniels out to the floor and Styles runs in and dives over the ropes to take Daniels out. Meanwhile, Skipper hits Killings with the Sudden Death to pick up the pin fall and eliminates Killings from the match.
The triple threat portion of the match begins as Styles and Skipper trade kicks in the middle of the ring. The two then collide as Daniels begins to makes his way across the cable and dives down and takes both Styles and Skipper down with a BME. The crowd starts a “Holy shit!” chant as all three are laid out in the ring. Daniels gets up and tries to cover Styles, but he kicks out. Daniels and Skipper begins to argue with each other as Daniels tries to get Skipper to work together. Daniels then quickly turns on his former parter and takes him down with a clothesline.
Skipper is able to fight back and takes Daniels down with a couple of clotheslines and a belly-to-belly suplex. Skipper then connects with a spin kick to Daniels’ face and puts Daniels in a full nelson but Styles flies in and connects with a kick to Skipper. Styles then begins to work over Daniels as all three begin to fight on the ropes in the corner. Skipper then climbs up the ropes and uses a leg scissors to toss Styles down to the mat. Daniels then flies at Skipper but he catches him and drives him down to the mat with a powerbomb. Skipper begins to wear down Daniels as Styles begins climbing across the cable and dives down on top of them.
All three are laid out on the mat and Styles is the first one up and begins to strike his two opponents and almost eliminates Daniels after hitting a neckbreaker. Styles then sets up for the Styles Clash but Skipper breaks the hold. Skipper then hits Styles with the Sudden Death but Daniels sneaks in from behind and rolls up Skipper to pick up the pin fall. Skipper has been eliminated from the match and it has now turned into the Ultimate X portion of the match for the X Division Title.
With Styles down, Daniels begins making his way towards the title but Styles get up and pulls him down. Daniels takes Styles down with a clothesline and goes up on the cable once again. Styles pulls him down once more and connects with a backbreaker. Daniels is quick to recover and hits Styles with a series of head butts but Styles fires back with a Pele kick. After seeing the replay of the kick a few times, we see both Styles and Daniels making their way towards the title. Styles kicks Daniels down, but Daniels is quick to get up and pulls Styles down from the cable.
Styles and Daniels begin fighting on the top rope as Styles jumps on the rope and begins climbing backwards in order to kick Daniels away but Daniels jumps and hits the STO in mid-air and sends them both crashing to the mat. Both of them are slow to recover and they again fight in the corner. Daniels rams Styles’ head into the structure and begins climbing across but Styles is quick to follow. Daniels drops down to the mat and then pulls Styles down as the fans begin a “This is awesome!” chant. The two again begin climbing across from opposite side and they meet in the middle as Styles uses his weight to pull both of them down.
They both make their way across once more and meet in the middle and Styles grabs at the title but they are both dropped to the mat, which also knocks down the referee. Styles then climbs across and grabs the title but the referee doesn’t see it. Daniels then hits Styles with the Angel’s Wings and grabs the belt as the referee recovers and awards the victory to Daniels.
Johnny Fairplay is walking around and sees that his time is almost up. He then runs into Buck Quartermain and Lex Lovett. Fairplay tells them that he is looking for a tag team and tells them that he can get them TNA contracts right now.
We then head to the announce table as they are in hype mode for the main event. They explain the Ringside Revenge rules, which is not the same as a lumberjack match, as they won’t be getting involved, but are there to prevent Jarrett from using the guitar and other weapons. A video package for the main event is aired that shows the events leading up to the match between Jeff Jarrett and DDP. The announce team breaks down the tale of the tape and runs down the bullet points for the match. The police men for the match are introduced for the match, and they consist of Monty Brown, 3Live Kru, Larry Zybyszko, Chris Candido and the Naturals.
Match 9: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Jeff Jarrett (Ringside Revenge for NWA World Championship)
DDP chases around Jeff Jarrett prior to the match as Jarrett heads out to the floor to get away from him. Jeremy Borash handles the formal introductions for the main event of Destination X. The bell rings to start the match and Jarrett quickly leaves the ring as the ones surrounding the ring block him off and get him to go back into the ring. Jarrett enters the ring and escapes to the other side but he is again cut off. Whenever Jarrett tries to enter the ring, DDP charges at him and Jarrett drops to the floor. DDP finally turns his back as Jarrett runs in and tries to go for the Stroke but DDP counters it and DDP tries for the Diamond Cutter but Jarrett escapes and runs out to the floor.
On the floor Monty Brown gets in Jarrett’s face and Jarrett pushes him as Brown then grabs Jarrett by his neck. DDP runs out to the floor and separates the two and goes after Jarrett. DDP sends Jarrett into the guard railing a couple of times before rolling him into the ring. Jarrett goes on the attack as DDP enters the ring and puts him in a headlock. DDP fights his way out of it and takes Jarrett down with a few shoulder blocks for a couple of pin attempts. DDP then clotheslines Jarrett over the top rope as they both fall out to the floor. DDP then slams Jarrett’s head into the announce table before clotheslining him into the crowd. DDP somehow gets a garbage can and nails Jarrett with it a couple of times as they make their way through the crowd and up the bleachers. Page sends Jarrett into a wall a few times before finding another garbage can and hitting Jarrett with it.
The fight comes back to the ringside area and DDP sends Jarrett into the railing before shoving him across the Spanish announce table. DDP then grabs someone’s crutch and busts it over his back before grabbing an announcer’s padded chair and brings it into the ring. DDP gives Jarrett an atomic drop and sits Jarrett on the chair and hits him a few times, which spins him around in the chair. DDP kicks Jarrett out of the chair and goes for the pin fall but Jarrett is able to kick out. DDP continues on the attack but Jarrett hits Page with a low blow to stop DDP’s momentum.
Jarrett then grabs the office chair and slams it into DDP’s knee a few times before he begins to stomp on it. Jarrett continues to work on DDP’s knee and tries for the figure four but DDP kicks Jarrett off and rolls him up for a near fall. Jarrett once again goes for the figure four but DDP rolls him up again for another near fall. Jarrett recovers and stomps on DDP’s knee before doing a little showboating and getting the figure four finally locked on in the middle of the ring. DDP tries to reverse the hold but is unable to and makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Jarrett then locks in the sleeper hold as DDP drops down to the mat. DDP is able to fight his way out of it and slams Jarrett down to the mat.
Both are laid out in the ring as the referee begins a 10 count as they both slowly make their way up at a count of nine. DDP begins to hit Jarrett with a series of punches before connecting with a clothesline and a big boot. DDP picks up a near fall and then tries for a Diamond Cutter but Jarrett pushes him off and DDP follows with a slam to get another near fall. DDP then hits Jarrett with a powerbomb but the champion still kicks out. DDP goes for another Diamond Cutter but Jarrett pushes him away as the Naturals and Candido grab DDP to cause a distraction. Jarrett then hits the Stroke and covers but DDP is able to kick out.
On the floor, the wrestlers go after the Naturals and Candido as there are bodies everywhere. Back in the ring, the Outlaw comes and gives Jarrett a guitar, however, BG James comes in and hits Jarrett with a low blow and grabs the guitar from him. Konnan then trips up Jarrett and crotches him on the ring post. Konnan then grabs Jarrett and James swings the guitar at him but Jarrett ducks and he smashes the guitar over Konnan’s head. James and Ron Killings pull Konnan out of the ring as Jarrett begins to climb to the top rope, however, DDP pushes the referee into Jarrett and knocks Jarrett down. The referee is also out as the Outlaw comes in and hits DDP with the Fameasser and Jarrett covers as the referee makes the count but DDP kicks out.
Sean Waltman then comes in and hits Jarrett and the Outlaw with spin kicks and gives them both Bronco Busters. Waltman the clotheslines the Outlaw over the top rope and the two fight their way up the entrance ramp. Back to the action, attorney Daggett distracts DDP as the Naturals and Candido interfere in the match. DDP takes them all down with Diamond Cutters as the crowd rallies behind Page. DDP then hits Jarrett with a top rope Diamond Cutter as Daggert enters the ring. Brown then enters the ring and runs at Daggert but he instead hits DDP with the Pounce. Brown then drags Jarrett over to cover DDP and Jarrett picks up the pin fall to retain the NWA World Champion. The announce team goes crazy over what just happened as they think he has sold his soul to the devil. Jarrett and Brown shake hands and Brown picks up Jarrett as Destination X comes to a close.
